The Dordogne and Perigord are part of a multi faceted region with a wide range
of arts and culture on offer. Beautiful sunsets and walks, horse-riding,
cycling, canoeing, petanque, tennis and swimming facilities are available
throughout the department.
Many museums can be found offering an insight into the history of the
department, indeed an insight into the very beginnings of man himself! With
over 1000 chateaux, abbeys and monuments there is never any problem finding
something to do with your time.

Boats
Roque Gageac: Gabares Norbert
- 3 different trips on the Dordogne, all on replica 18c and 19c gabare boats
which were once a familiar site on the river.
PerigeuxL: Gabares de Perigeux
- discover Perigeux and its 2000 year history by boat.
Beynac: Gabares de Beynac
- departing from the foot of the car park opposite the post office, the gabares
sail every 30 minutes during the season between 10-12.30 and 14-18hrs

Gouffre de Prommeysac
The biggest Abyss in Perigord full of Stalagtites and Stalagmites.
Gouffre de Padirac
Here is a boat trip on an underground river with beautiful caverns
Grotte de la Cave
A little train takes you several hundred metres into mountain.
Roque St Christophe
High cave dwellings showing the way of life of ancient man.
Activity and fun Parks:
Parc en Ciel
Situated at Lacapelle Biron this is a fabulous day out for both children and
adults alike. There is a small animal farm, adventure playground and more
serious adventure area for the older child/adult, mini golf, a museum of

Souillac Country Club
A beautiful 18 hole golf course with panoramic views and top quality greens
offers enjoyable golf for players of all standards. The course is open all year
round, and local members will make you feel very welcome. There is also a 10
bay driving range, an 18 hole putting green, and the Club Professional is
available to help you to improve your technique. There is a reduction of 20% in
